| Bio Blurbs: 2005 After graduating from Point Loma High School, I went on to study Neurobiology/Psychology and Public Policy at UC Berkeley under a full scholarship from the Bill and Melinda Gates Millenium Scholarship Foundation ( I am a Gates scholar). While in school, I continued to work, not out of necessity but out of a commitment to communtiy service. I worked as a Counselor, College Advisor, Co-teacher and Coordinator of a college and career information center with the East Bay Consortium of Educational Institutions and the Oakland Unified School District. I also worked as a Nueropsychology intern at the Veterans Affairs Hospital at UCSD and as a laboratory technician at the Federal Department of Agriculture in Albany, CA. After graduating from UC Berkeley with Honors and High Distinction, I moved back home to San Diego to work as an Educational Consultant for a private psycholgy firm, Coyne and Associates, Inc. Thereafter, I was selected to work as an Executive Fellow at the Department of Justice (DOJ) for the Attorney General of California, Bill Lockyer. After completing my work at the DOJ, I began my graduate studies in Public Policy at the Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, MA. I have completed one year of two of my graduate studies and am now on summer break living in San Diego. Currently, I am working as a summer intern for the Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC) in downtown San Diego. I will be moving back to Cambridge in September to complete my studies and will graduate in June of 2006 with a Masters in Public Policy. -Jacqueline Luna Reynoso, c/o 1998 "Go Pointers!" |
