The mission of the Point Loma High School
Foundation and Alumni Association is to develop and provide the resources
for enhancing the educational environment of Point Loma High School, with
a goal of building Pointer Pride for generations past, present and future.
We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.

The Vanguard competed
in the Southern California Regionals Saturday in Long Beach. This is
the first time in PL history that we have been represented at such
a high level of competition! Ten teams competed in the 3A Division.
Our
school went in to the competition with a ranking of nine out of ten
and moved up two spaces to tie for 7th place! They presented a fabulous
show
and we were so proud of each and every one of them – and our fearless
leader Mr. Dally!

Mascot, "Bennie the dog" returned to action at
the "Q".
On behalf of the Pt. Loma Class of 1967,
we are happy
to have been instrumental in bringing back the mascot.
The Pointer Dog unites the generations of Classmates,
because of the genuine love the Dog inspires, and the
happy memories he stirs.
Connie Panek and Leah Ellington raced to create the
mascot in time, should the Pointers make it back to
the CIF finals again this year.
Coach Hastings and his Team made that
possible with
their magnificent 25-21 defeat of St. Augustine.
We will be there to cheer the Pointers on tomorrow!
